Amy Gilbert, BSc, MCSP, HCPC, DOH
Amy is the proud founder and Managing Director of Perfect Balance Rehabilitation Centre and a distinguished expert in Women’s Health Physiotherapy. With over 16 years of dedicated experience in the Physiotherapy field, Amy has understood the true importance for comprehensive and compassionate care. Amy founded Perfect Balance in December 2017 to fulfil a lifetime dream of providing the community with a high quality and specialized centre, a hub which has attracted amazing specialists in Rehabilitation.
Amy and Valentina met in December 2021 and began working along side each other in September 2022. In August 2024 Amy and Valentina, founded Osteopathic Perfect Balance Medical Centre (OPBMC). A unique project in Abu Dhabi, with Osteopathy being the prime service provided. A centre which will be a thriving hub in the community where people who want to play an active role in their health will seek out exemplary health services with highly skilled practitioners.

Educational Background:
Amy earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton, where she developed a passion for addressing the complex interplay between physical health and overall well-being. Her commitment to advancing her expertise led her to pursue specialized training in women’s health, including management of complex incontinence and pelvic pain. Amy is qualified using real-time ultrasound and biofeedback to assess and treat the pelvic floor. Supporting women during and after pregnancy has become one of Amy’s key passions, and she believes all women should have a knowledge of how their own pelvic floor is functioning whether it be before, during and after pregnancy.

- Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation:
Expertise in treating pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery. - Pre and Postnatal Care:
Focused on supporting women through pregnancy and the postpartum period with tailored exercise programs and education. - Chronic Pain and Musculoskeletal Disorders:
Comprehensive treatment plans for chronic pain conditions, such as endometriosis, with an emphasis on integrating physical therapy with lifestyle adjustments.
Community Involvement:
Outside of her clinical practice, Amy is actively involved in community outreach and advocacy. She conducts workshops and seminars aimed at raising awareness about women’s health issues and promoting preventive care. She also collaborates with local organizations to support women’s health initiatives and provide educational resources.
Personal Interests: In her spare time, Amy enjoys weight training, running, pilates, the beach spending time with her two young children, husband and friends. She is passionate about maintaining a balanced lifestyle and believes in the importance of self-care and wellness.
